Is there something in the water that’s making tabloids recycle some of the most ridiculous Robert Pattinson rumors we’ve heard almost ayear after they were debunked?
The National Enquirer recently published an article suggesting romance between Pattinson and his agent, Stephanie Ritz, a bit of silliness we discredited back in December 2009.
Now the gang over at In Touch is trying to resuscitate the dead rumor that former “X Factor” contestant Lucie Jones is making Pattinson’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, nervous.
Almost a year ago, it was alleged that Pattinson’s sister had arranged a “romantic rendezvous” between the Twilight star and Jones.
At the time, Jones joked, “Kristen Stewart had better watch out!” Of course, there was absolutely nothing between Jones and Pattinson aside from friendly, mutual admiration.
So naturally, ten months later, there’s an In Touch report about “trouble in paradise” for Pattinson and Stewart because of — surprise! — Lucie Jones!
The “sexy singer may be wreaking havoc” on Robsten’s relationship, according to the tabloid, all because Stewart supposedly didn’t like Pattinson’s reaction to racy shots of Jones he found online and showed her. According to the mag’s alleged “source,” Stewart is “afraid Rob’s interest in Lucie could be rekindled.”
“Seeing the photos brought back bad memories for Kristen,” the ”source” says.
Funny, because In Touch stories have become a blur of “bad memories” for Gossip Cop.
Besides the totally illogical premise that a guy would show his girlfriend sexy photos of a woman she fears he likes, a source tells us there isn’t an ounce more truth to this Pattinson-Jones nonsense than there was last year.
We don’t look forward to seeing it again next fall.
